I have had the opportunity to work with specialties, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, addictions, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and relationship issues. I believe that the triggers and obstacles we have as children and teenagers are the same throughout our lives. We will be better equipped when we experience significant life issues if we learn how to identify our triggers and develop coping strategies. I have come to realize that most people are searching to discover who they are and their place in this world. Understanding yourself is not unique to teenagers. Many of us are not equipped with the coping strategies, resiliency, or conflict resolution skills to move through life and become independent. Becoming independent can cause anxiety, depression, panic, fear, anger, and pain. I believe that every person has the answers within them to every challenge they face.
My husband is a Marine veteran, and the experience has given me a passion for counseling veterans. We have a Swiss Mountain Dog named Duke, and he is super spoiled! I love animals and would adopt every dog that is out there if I could.
